Breathingwhale is a studio founded in 2019 by Bujin Kim, who had been conducting classes at various yoga studios and collaborating with corporate brands since 2015. Starting with a meditation education course in India, he also carried out meditation interpretation activities for Koreans. At first, classes were held by renting space and running community sessions with a limited number of members, and in 2019 a standalone studio was opened in Hannam-dong. More than 30 regular classes are held every week, each based on a theme, and every class begins with a short meditation.

The Journey ahead
Breathingwhale operates more than 40 regular classes per week in Korea. Someday, if the Tokyo studio is relocated to a standalone space, we plan to offer more regular classes, as well as guide practice through our own meditation programs and yoga teacher training courses. All teachers at Breathingwhale are practitioners who must continue learning as well as being guides. Through continued learning, we plan to launch online services in Korea, Japan, and Southeast Asia, so that more people can continue meditation and yoga practice anytime and anywhere without being restricted by cost. In addition, once the visa procedures of Bujin Kim are completed, we are preparing to guide practice for members in Tokyo as well.
